FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How far in advance should I order my gown?

- Because all our dresses are made to order on average they can take anywhere from 6-8 months to produce. Including shipping and alterations we suggest ordering your dress 9-12 months prior to your wedding date. There are rush options for weddings that will take place in less than 6 months, but rush fees may apply.

How should I prepare for my appointment and what should I bring?

-Enjoy some browsing through magazines and websites so you have a general idea of what you prefer in a wedding dress. Your bridal consultant is then happy to give you recommendations that you will love. Bring any undergarments you could see yourself wearing on your wedding day such as a strapless bra and spanx! Also bring heels of a height that you think you will wear on your wedding day so you can get the complete look while you are here. There may also be custom length options available and knowing your shoe height will determine if you are eligible. Finally, we recommend you do all the usual beauty prep you do like your hair and make up so you feel good when trying on the dresses!

What is our price range?

-Our dresses range from $1,000- $3,000 but on average our dresses retail for about $1,600. We only require 50% payment to order your dress.  You can pay the balance when the dress comes in.

Do you have a sample sale?

-Yes, we do! We keep our gowns in great condition and buying a dress off the rack is a great way to purchase a dress at up to 50% off! Also, if your wedding day is around the corner, it will ensure that your dress will be in on time. Our seamstresses can help repair the gown if needed and cleaning options are available.

Will I need alterations and do you recommend a seamstress to use?

-As soon as your dress arrives we ask you to come in within 10 days for your inspection. We will order the dress as close to your current size as possible, but all bridal gowns need alterations in order to fit you like a glove on your wedding day.  We have an in-house seamstress but you are not required to use our services.  We do recommend you allow about 2 months for alterations.

What is the average cost of alterations?

-When using our master seamstresses they assess each bride in their gown for the special adjustments they may need.  The basic alteration charge begins at $150 which includes pressing, packaging and personal appointments with the seamstress.

When should I order my bridesmaid dresses?

-We recommend you order your bridesmaid dresses about 6-8 months before your wedding date as they take about 16 to 24 weeks  for delivery.  This allows ample time for your maids to receive the necessary alterations.

Who do I bring to my bridal shopping appointment?

-We recommend no more than 4 people to attend your appointment.  We feel that the opinions of a trusted few make the decision easier and less stressful for you.

Do I need to schedule an appointment?

-Yes. We like to give each bride our undivided attention and have found that 1.5 hours is usually the perfect amount of time to review our showroom floor and try on the dresses you would like.

What is a trunk show?

-We carry an edited selection of each designer’s collection so trunk shows are a designated time that we have an extended selection of a particular designer. Trunk shows last for only a few days, and appointments fill up quickly, so we recommend you book early if one of your favorite designers will be visiting so you can shop the entire collection. Discounts or promotions offered during the trunk will only apply during the trunk show dates.
