Do I need to schedule an appointment?

Yes, we are a by appointment only bridal boutique. We pride ourselves on giving each customer our undivided attention. We offer appointment services for Bridal Shopping (1.5 hours) , Mother of the Bride (1 hour) , Bridesmaids (1.5 hours), and bridal accessories (45 minutes). During those appointments times we find that it is the perfect amount of time for our clients to peruse our showroom with their stylist, try multiple different styles and find their perfect dress or accessories!

What should I expect at my shopping appointment?

When you arrive through the doors of Bridal Suite Boutique, you will be greeted by our team of expert stylists. Your personal stylist will lead you to your private fitting room where you and your guests will be able to make yourselves comfortable for your 1.5 hour appointment. Your stylist will begin by welcoming you to the store and asking you questions about your big day! From there, you and your stylist will hit the showroom floor where you can touch and feel the gowns you want to try on. We love to start with just a few, but will continue to bring in more and more gowns based on how you feel about each one, allowing you to narrow down until you find the one! 

What are your price ranges?

Our bridal gowns range from $1,500-$5,000. For bridesmaids dresses our range is $175-$300 and for Mother’s gown the prices range from $400-$1,100. Payment in full is required to order all dresses. We recommend coming to your appointment with a budget in mind so your stylist can help you find the perfect gown for the perfect price!

How far in advance should I order my gown?

All of our designer wedding dresses are made to order, on average they take 6-8 months to create. Including shipping and alterations, we suggest ordering your gown at least 9-12 months prior to your wedding date. There are rush options for weddings that will take place in less than 6 months with rush fees applying. Due to unpredictable supply chain delays, we recommend coming in as early as possible in order to ensure there is enough time to get the dress you love.

How should I prepare for my appointment and what should I bring?

We recommend proper undergarments, a heel that you envision yourself wearing, and an open mind! Feel free to bring in your Pinterest page and other pictures to give your stylist a better idea of the look and silhouette you envision! Your stylist will be ready to guide you with through the entire process to find the one! Our Pinterest page, Instagram, and designer pages are always a great way to browse our selection. 

Who do I bring to my bridal shopping appointment?

We feel that the opinions of a trusted few make the decision easier and less stressful for you. Our newly added “Suite” room can accommodate up to 10 guests, but if you find yourself with a smaller group, our other bridal rooms can seat up to 5 comfortably.

Is it common to "SAY YES TO THE DRESS" on my first shopping trip?

Many brides say YES the first time! As long as you love your dress, take advantage of the wonderful moment when you fall in love with it.

How can I tip my stylist?

We do have a gratuity system at BSB so you have the option to thank your stylist for helping you find your dress. You can do so through our credit card machine. It is optional and is not expected from our stylists.

Do you carry plus size dresses?

Absolutely! We carry plus-size wedding dresses, mothers’ dresses, and bridesmaids dresses ranging from sizes 18 - 28! All of the dresses in our shop can be ordered in plus size. View the plus-size bridal gowns we have available to try on in-store here!

Do you carry Mother of the Bride and Groom gowns?

Will I need alterations and do you recommend a seamstress to use?

As soon as your dress arrives we ask you to come in within 5 days for your first try on & accessory appointment. We will order the dress as close to your current size as possible, but all gowns require alterations in order to fit you perfectly.  We have in-house alterations but you are not required to use our services.  We recommend you allow about 2-3 months for alterations. Please note our seamstresses are in very high demand, please plan accordingly and call to book your first alteration appointment at least 4 months prior your wedding date.

What is the average cost of alterations?

When using our master seamstresses they assess each bride in their gown for the adjustments they need.  Bridal alterations can range from $450-$850 which includes pressing, packaging and personal appointments with the seamstress. Any custom changes done by a seamstress may exceed our alteration price range. Mother’s gowns can range from $95 - $395 depending on the nature of the gown.

When should I order my bridesmaid dresses?

We recommend you order your bridesmaid dresses about 8 months prior your wedding date as they take an average of 4 months to arrive after ordering.  This allows ample time for your bridesmaids to receive their gowns and time for any necessary alterations. Discounts are made for our brides and large group bridal parties.

What is your sales policy?

Every sale is final and non refundable. We take every precaution to ensure you will have the perfect dress from ordering to alterations. If you have any questions or concerns after signing and agreeing to our sales agreement, please call so we can further help.

I want to shop at Bridal Suite Boutique, but I live out of state, is it still possible to get my dress at BSB?

Absolutely! We offer many options to accommodate our out of state brides. We welcome you to FaceTime or Skype in any friends or family who were not able to travel with when you shop with us so you can include everyone who is important to you. Once your gown arrives to the store after being ordered, we can safely ship you your gown with a signature verification service if you are too far to travel back to pick it up. Another upside of purchasing your gown in NJ is that bridal gowns are tax free unlike many of our surroundings states!

Do you offer a military discount?

Yes, and thank you for your service! We offer a 10% discount on all items excluding wedding gowns and Mother of the bride gowns.

Are food, drinks, or children welcome to come to my bridal appointment?

 We want to keep our shop as tidy as possible so the gowns stay in the best condition for you to try on so we ask that only bottled water be permitted into the shop.  We have partnered with Gennaro’s in our plaza to give our #BSBbrides a complimentary glass of champagne! We will give you a card at check out to present to your waiter.  Because of the delicate nature of the dresses,  we also ask that children under 10 not come to the appointment.  We recommend that you bring them to the final fitting if it is important for you to include them during this experience.

Do you have a sample sale?

Yes, we keep our gowns in great condition and buying a dress off the rack is a great way to purchase a dress at up to 50% off! If your wedding day is around the corner, it will ensure that your dress will be in on time. Our seamstresses can help repair the gown if needed and cleaning options are available.

Do you serve LGBTQ+ brides?

Yes, we do! We are here to give the best experience for all brides.

What is a trunk show?

Trunk shows are hosted during a designated time to have an extended selection of gowns from a particular designer. Trunk shows last for only a few days, and appointments fill up quickly, so we recommend you book early if one of your favorite designers will be visiting so you can shop the entire collection.
